Why we still have a physical office in Sant Antoni

Today, we can look for a home, compare listings and contact an estate agent on our phones, wherever we are and at any time. Social media and digital channels allow us to reach much further. But with so much happening on screens, at Home Service Calonge we still believe having a physical office matters.

Because some things are better talked through face to face.

Meeting in person gives us time to listen properly, understand what each person needs and answer questions without rushing. When it comes to a home — somewhere often tied to memories, plans and important decisions — being able to speak directly to someone and put a face to a name still means a great deal.

It also matters to see things for yourself. A photograph or a listing can give us a first impression of a property, but visiting it, walking around the area and noticing the details helps us work out whether we really feel comfortable there. And when a question comes up, being able to ask it in person and talk it through naturally makes a difference.

Our office is also somewhere you know you can find us. An open door on a street in the heart of town makes us approachable and allows us to be part of everyday life in Sant Antoni. Knowing where we are and being able to pop in for a chat makes the relationship more direct.

Then there is our window display, which still catches people’s attention. Every day, people stop to look at the homes we advertise there. Some are already looking for a home; others are simply out for a walk and spot a property they may not yet have found online. Sometimes, that is how a conversation starts: with a listing, a question and a wish to find out more.

That does not mean we have to choose between the office and the internet. Digital channels are essential for sharing information and keeping in touch with people who live far away. The office offers another way to meet us: something more personal, more approachable and rooted in the place where we work.

That is why we still have a physical office. Because even in a world where more and more happens on screens, showing up, talking face to face and being there still matter.
